Following a successful tender process IRS Construction were appointed as the specialist principal contractor to enhance these council tenure properties , this project consisted of the installation of a new triple glazed window solution new Epsitec specialist ventilated External Wall Insulation system and a complete new roof covering, totally transforming these properties from old inefficient to new, highly efficient dwellings offering the residents some significant cost and carbon savings and the added piece of mind of a 25 year insurance backed SWIGA guarantee.
Thorough surveys facilitated the production of drawings, SER calculations, and certification by our in-house design team, enabling the successful application and granting of Building Warrant. Given the timber substrate, meticulous design and detailing of firebreaks were crucial as well as the ventilated design to ensure a well-ventilated heat retaining substructure.


IRS Construction recommended and implemented a Wetherby EPSITEC system, chosen for its lightweight solution suitable for timber frames, allowing adequate ventilation and possessing full BBA certification. This choice complied with all necessary standards and met OFGEM's PAS 2030 & PAS 2035 requirements, enabling the client to access funding.
