Site Manager, Edinburgh, UK

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join our team.
 

Duties will include:

  • Effectively manage both subcontractors and direct labour

  • Maintain accurate site records, including RFI's and re-measurement

  • Monitor progress against Contract Programme

  • Ensure the project has all necessary materials and plant

  • Chair subcontract site meetings and produce meeting minutes

  • Report contract progress weekly to Contracts Manager / Head Office

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Contractors Report for the formal site meetings

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with design team/client and supply chain

  • Effective daily use of appropriate company information Systems and databases

  • Liaise with client team and customers to ensure the highest possible Customer Care

 

The successful Site Manager will:

  • Have SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid certificates all in date

  • Have worked on construction EWI projects

  • Good knowledge of Contracts

  • Broad range of experience in refurbishment contracts

  • Be committed to delivering a quality product

  • Good communication and IT skills

 

Experience: Site Management: 5 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Schedule: 8-hour shift

Work Location: In person, Edinburgh

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimise procurement activities

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities or risks

  • Analyse data and generate reports to support decision-making processes

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Oversee inventory management and maintain accurate records of purchases

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or in a similar procurement role

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and best practices

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions

  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles
