Who we are

IRS Construction was established in 2013 by Brendan Collum, Founder and Managing Director. We are a fifth-generation family business, bringing over 150 years of combined external wall insulation experience to every project we take on.  Compliance sits at the centre of how we operate.

Every fire cladding and remediation project is managed through the Building Safety Regulator's Gateway process, from early construction advice at Gateway 1 through to the final safety inspections that support occupation at Gateway 3. We maintain the Golden Thread of information throughout, so every decision, material and change on site is documented and traceable. We hold ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certification, are PAS 2030 approved and PAS 2035 accredited, and are members of SWIGA and INCA.

Every project we deliver is on an occupied residential building. That shapes how we work from the first survey onward, and it's why 96% of our clients return to us for future projects.

How we work

We operate a self-delivery model, sourcing our own materials and employing our own trade specialists, giving us direct control over cost, quality and programme at every stage.

We manage the BSR Gateway process in full, from early construction advice through to final safety inspections.

Every project has a dedicated Resident Liaison Officer, reflecting our priority on clear communication and resident safety throughout.
