IRS is led by its two Joint Managing Directors, who set the direction for every project we take on.
Brendan founded IRS in 2013, after more than 30 years in façade replacement. He leads the business and oversees every fire safety remediation project, giving each one clear strategic direction and hands-on operational oversight.
Bob was Managing Director of Wetherby Wall Systems, now part of the ROCKWOOL Group, before joining IRS. He brings deep external wall insulation expertise to the leadership of the business, alongside Brendan.
The commercial team prices, tenders and manages the cost of every project, from first estimate to final account.
Richie leads the commercial team and IRS’s tendering activity, bringing together scope, cost, risk and client requirements from the outset.
Howard brings more than 30 years in construction, with specialist knowledge of façades, rainscreen, render systems and through-wall construction. He leads the commercial management of IRS fire safety projects, with a focus on cost, risk and value.
Anne looks after the financial health of the business, from budgets and reporting to the systems that keep payments, invoicing and cost control running properly.
Alan leads commercial management across External Wall Insulation and Whole House Retrofit projects. He manages budgets, cost control and contractual requirements from delivery through to final account.
Joseph supports cost planning, valuations and variations across live projects, maintaining accurate commercial information from pre-construction through to handover.
Gavin manages cost on live projects, from measurement and valuations through to final account, working closely with site teams to keep schemes on budget.
Callum handles cost planning and valuations across our projects, keeping commercial records accurate and up to date as the work progresses.
Louis supports the surveying team across live projects, measuring work, tracking costs and keeping commercial records up to date.
Jacob brings 13 years’ experience across contractor and consultancy roles in the UK and the Middle East. He specialises in cladding replacement and façade compliance, including Building Safety Fund and CCS-backed schemes and Gateway 2 applications.
Adam manages our Warmworks framework obligations, working with the delivery team to make sure every requirement is met.
Rory has recently joined IRS as an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor. He works alongside our commercial team on live projects, building his skills in cost tracking, measurement and valuations.

Nigel has 36 years in construction. He leads the pre-construction stage on high-rise residential and fire remediation schemes, shaping approach, programme and operational buildability before work starts on site, and works with clients from the earliest conversations.
Sara manages IRS’s framework appointments and relationships, helping clients understand the procurement routes available to them and identifying opportunities where IRS’s specialist capability is a strong fit. She is also the quality lead for frameworks and tendering.
Jenny develops relationships across housing, building safety and retrofit, connecting clients and partners with the right IRS expertise at the right stage of a project.
Mark brings 15 years’ experience in External Wall Insulation and a technical background in colour systems. He manages supply chain relationships and material procurement, helping ensure compliant products are available when projects need them.
Diane is a Chartered Marketer with more than 25 years’ experience across multiple industries. Since joining IRS in 2024, she has led the brand, website, case studies and tender content, turning the team’s work on site into stories clients can trust.

Nigel leads operational delivery across IRS fire safety projects, coordinating programme, health and safety, quality and the construction requirements associated with higher-risk building work.
Pat leads operational delivery across External Wall Insulation and Whole House Retrofit. He coordinates programme, teams, health and safety and quality across live projects.
Ian brings more than 45 years’ experience across infrastructure, residential, commercial and complex construction. His recent work centres on occupied high-rise fire remediation, including Building Safety Fund projects and schemes progressing through Gateway 2.
David brings more than 30 years’ construction experience following a 23-year career in HM Forces, where he reached Warrant Officer Class 1. His experience spans both client and contractor roles and includes major façade remediation schemes such as Brent Council and Angel Meadow.
Scott leads IRS projects in Scotland at senior level, managing day-to-day delivery and coordinating clients, site teams and residents.
Bradley works across project delivery, coordinating site activity, programme and safety alongside IRS’s wider project team.
David manages live projects from mobilisation through to handover, working closely with clients, site teams and specialist contractors.

Iain brings more than 25 years’ experience in senior construction roles. He leads design coordination and quality assurance across projects including Advent 1, 2 and 3 and The Blake, helping maintain clear, controlled project information through the Building Safety Regulator’s gateway process.
Ryan brings more than 10 years’ construction experience, progressing from bricklaying and site management into quality assurance. He leads quality across fire remediation and cladding projects including Advent 1, 2 and 3 and Greenhouse, with a strong focus on getting work right first time.
Alex has recently joined our quality team. He works across live projects on inspections, audits and evidence, helping make sure every stage is signed off properly.
Lukasz has recently joined our quality team. He supports quality assurance on site, checking work as it progresses and keeping records straight.
Andy works across design and compliance on live projects, making sure the detail behind each scheme is right and the evidence is there when it’s needed.
Izabela keeps project records in order, managing drawings, certificates and version control so the right document is always to hand and project evidence holds together.

Jamie brings more than 40 years’ construction experience, specialising in industrial roofing, cladding and high-rise fire remediation. He manages site quality and installation detail, helping ensure work is delivered in line with the approved design and project requirements.
Duncan brings more than 30 years’ experience across housing, refurbishment and commercial construction. On fire remediation projects, he works closely with design teams while managing site operations, health and safety and quality assurance.
Carl is a time-served bricklayer with 36 years’ experience across the building trade. He specialises in fire remediation, façade retention and temporary works in occupied buildings, including Butterbiggins Road in Glasgow.
Gordon runs the day to day on site, coordinating trades, sequencing work and keeping residents safe while their homes stay occupied.
Tim brings 30 years’ experience delivering social housing and large residential projects, with specialist knowledge of passive fire protection and PAS 2030 retrofit. He coordinates site teams, specialist contractors and residents to keep work safe and moving.
Simon runs site operations day to day, coordinating trades and subcontractors to deliver safe, high-quality work in occupied buildings.
Colin runs site operations day to day, managing trades, access and sequencing so the work stays safe and residents are looked after throughout.
Supporting Building Standards, project records and commercial administration across our Scottish work.
David supports IRS’s Scottish operations across subcontractor payments and project administration. He also leads the team managing Building Warrant applications for the Warmworks contract and provides day-to-day IT support to the Scottish office.
James manages key compliance records across IRS projects in Scotland, including SWIGA guarantees, Gas Safe certificates, Building Warrants and Completion Certificates.
Antonio supports Building Warrant administration across IRS projects in Scotland while studying part-time towards a degree in Quantity Surveying.
Steven keeps quality front and centre on our Scotland projects. He runs inspections and audits, records evidence as work progresses, and makes sure each stage is signed off to the standard the building safety regime requires.
Roddy manages our sites in Scotland day to day, working closely with the project team to keep work safe, well sequenced and on programme.
Our Resident Liaison team works alongside project delivery to make sure residents know what is happening, understand how the work may affect them and have a clear point of contact throughout.

Simone leads our nationwide team of Resident Liaison Officers. With more than seven years’ experience on social and residential schemes, she works with residents, leaseholders and local communities to make sure communication is clear and concerns are understood and acted on.
Demi is residents’ first point of contact on site. She answers day-to-day questions, talks residents through programme timings, and makes sure any concern is picked up quickly, so people always know what’s happening and when.
Helen keeps residents informed from start to finish. She runs resident meetings, shares clear updates on the works, and arranges access with care, so homes stay safe and the programme keeps moving.
Noel makes sure every resident gets the support that’s right for them. He handles access requirements, answers queries as they come up, and gives extra support to residents with individual needs throughout the works.

Shannon manages day-to-day office operations and supports finance across the business, processing wages, supplier payments and invoices.
Dougie supports the finance side of the business, processing payments and keeping accounts records accurate and up to date.
Lynn supports office and project teams with day-to-day administration, helping keep records, paperwork and communication organised across the business.
Early engagement under a PCSA is where the risk comes out of a remediation project. It is also where the programme is won or lost.
